BLOG: NATIONAL BOARD CERTIFIED TEACHER AND POLICY EXPERT JOINS EDTECH EVIDENCE EXCHANGE

WASHINGTON, DC — The Jefferson Education Exchange (JEX), a nonprofit public charity dedicated to helping educators make better informed decisions about technology, today announced the appointment of Dan Brown as Director of National Engagement. Brown, a National Board Certified Teacher and co-founder of the national nonprofit Educators Rising, joins JEX with nearly two decades of experience at the intersection of education practice, policy, and innovation.

“Educators and school leaders are long past the point of asking ‘whether’ to implement technology in the classroom. Now, it’s about understanding how, when, and in what contexts edtech can be most effective at improving student outcomes,” said Bart Epstein, president and CEO of JEX. “We won’t know the answers to those questions without both rigorous research and input from educators themselves. Dan’s experience as a teacher and advocate make him uniquely suited to bring these voices and ideas together — in ways that will create a stronger foundation for edtech decision-making.”
